EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR - 2025-2026 CITY CHARTER COMMISSION
Provides executive and staff assistance to the Charter Commission for the City and County of Honolulu; supervises Commission staff, conducts research; writes reports and correspondence; drafts proposed charter amendments to the Charter for the City and County of Honolulu under the Commission’s direction; plans and coordinates various administrative activities essential to the functions of the Commission; communicates and acts in a liaison capacity between the Commission and private citizens, government agencies, and community groups; and performs other related duties as required by the Charter Commission. Provides a wide variety of administrative support for the Executive Administrator of the City Charter Commission for the City and County of Honolulu; handles scheduling; contacts commissioners; prepares documents, agendas, and follow-up; maintains records; handles office telephone, mail, and email correspondence; and other tasks as may be required. Person selected must be able to: organize a variety of projects and prioritize them; provide detail-oriented work products; be friendly and considerate; have tact and discretion; be a team player; exhibit strong communication skills; and proficiently use Microsoft Office applications. RESEARCHER - 2025-2026 CITY CHARTER COMMISSION
Provides a wide range of research and drafting services for the Executive Administrator of the City Charter Commission for the City and County of Honolulu; performs legal research an analysis of issues; identifies emerging trends; drafts documents; creates spreadsheets and databases; and other tasks as may be required. Person selected must be able to: multi-task and work under pressure and time constraints; handle a high volume of work and prioritize effectively; be friendly and considerate; have tact and discretion; be a team player; exhibit strong communication skills; proficiently use Microsoft Office applications; and gather information through various research methods. Experience with statutory and constitutional research as well as with drafting is preferred. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
