Statement RE: Update on Biki Bikeshare Program

June 24, 2026

"The Council recognizes Biki as a critical component of bus and rail integration and connecting communities through transit.  As such, the Council has supported Biki by approving transfers from the City's Climate Resiliency Fund of $1 million to purchase 600 new bikes and $500,000 for operations and maintenance.  These actions will increase the availability of bikes and create a more reliable system to better serve residents and commuters." - Infrastructure, Transportation and Technology Committee Chair Radiant Cordero
